Hive Radio 2023 is a an ongoing, eco-pirate radio station located at the Lewis & Clark College Bee Garden, which transmits the sounds emanating from within beehive no. 3 into the environment, in real-time, 24-hours a day at 88.3MHz. This pirate radio broadcast serves three distinct goals: 1. to render the sonic happenings of hive no. 3 hyper accessible to human audiences in the surrounding environment, 2. to engender situations in which new Actor-Networks can begin taking shape, and 3. to physically and materially displace and override FCC approved radio transmissions of billboard topping music and advertisement streams with the droning and numbing sound of a beehive.
