The EAR (Experimental Artistic Research) Forest is a 16-channel sound venue located in the forest behind the Fields Center for the Visual Arts at Lewis & Clark College (Portland, OR). The venue serves as a space for students, visiting artists, and LC faculty to exhibit sound works produced for the unique system. The EAR Forest also hosts a 10-day Artist-In-Residence program, three times a year. More information about upcoming programming and the residency can be found here.
All compositions created for the EAR Forest are recorded using binaural microphones and capture the unique spatial qualities of the venue. An archive of these recordings can be found here.
